# AI Events, Paper Circles & Hack Nights | Commune9

> Discover upcoming machine learning hackathons, live arXiv reading circles, and technical workshops hosted by the Commune9 AI engineering collective.

## What technical events and reading circles does Commune9 host?

Commune9 hosts three recurring technical events for machine learning practitioners: daily arXiv paper reading circles at 14:00 UTC, weekly Friday production demo days, and quarterly builder hackathons. These events connect over 150 engineers to dissect frontier AI architectures, benchmark open-weight models, and prototype autonomous agent systems in the open.

## How can machine learning practitioners join Commune9 paper circles?

Practitioners can join Commune9 reading circles through our open Discord community and developer portal. Sessions occur Monday through Friday at 14:00 UTC, featuring interactive paper breakdowns, mathematical derivations of attention mechanisms, and live PyTorch implementation walkthroughs led by collective research leads and guest authors with open community participation.

- Interactive Math: Collective analysis of loss functions, attention tiling, and routing gating equations.

- Code Implementation: Translating theoretical arXiv papers into runnable PyTorch and CUDA blocks.

- Guest Discussions: Engaging directly with primary paper authors and open-source library maintainers.
